I have experienced a variety of sky apps and Sky Safari is, by far, the best I have seen.

I think "Gyro" was a key feature of Skysafari. I miss it.

The app is really impressive and has a great potential. The progresses are happening and thats why I bought also the upgrade to the new version. Eventhough, is still not working reliably. When I touch a star or any other object on the screm and try for exmple to magnify, it could happend that the app crashes and kicks me out to the iphone main screen or it could happend that the screen goes back to default. Please dont stop improving it...

I have used most of the planetarium software shared or sold during the past 20 years. This one has the best graphics and user interface by far. I use it wirelessly to control two telescopes from three different devices. My only complaint is that the interface changes with screen real estate. A minor but understandable issue. The technical support is like instant with the team responding daily on their forum. Great job and great APP.

This is a visual easy to use Astronomy app. I also use it to control my telescope using SkyFi.

I’ve tried many astronomy aps over the years and SS4 Pro is by far the best. I use it to drive my scope to the object I’ve chosen. It will give your exactly your field of view in the eyepiece letting you clearly identify the object you are seeking. It gives you all the pertinent data so you can learn about the object. Many objects also have a beautiful astrophoto in their description. I’ve enjoyed this well supported and continually improved ap tremendously.

Ive had this program for a couple of years and cant rate it high enough. Phenomenally fast on even a gen 2 iPad, amazing deep sky coverage, great support. I use it to control a 16" dob with servocat. If youre a casual observer, get one of the more basic programs; if you want the most capability, spend the money on this one.

I have been using this software since it came out. It is a great tool when observing with my telescope, whether connected or not.

I am an amateur astronomer whos used Sky Safari 4 Pro for two years now. The detailed object info and date/time controls are really useful for planning observations and teaching at a star party. For the total lunar eclipse of 27sept2015, I was stuck under overcast sky in Houston, but was able to watch a realistic simulation on my iPhone, while telling my wife in clear-sky Massachusetts what to expect live! I often save settings & view of memorable events like Jan 2015s transit of Jupiter by three of its moons at once: better than a photo! I notice that even an Iridium flare is wonderfully simulated (look that up; these satellites are a hoot). Room for improvement: the controls are very small for old fingers on a phone; needs a smarter GUI. Even a professional would be very happy with this purchase.
