Though, I had to for this one. Amazing. $60 well spent. My son, daughter and I are glued to it. Best experienced on a large, iPad Pro. Very well done. Congrats!

I cant even cal myself an amateur astronomer. I just like to look at the skies and this app is an amazing tool. Plus it is fun just look at the app and explore the sky virtually.

SkySafari is the best astronomy app out there. I use it with my Celestron GOTO telescope. The WiFi in the scope connects with SkySafari to control the scope. The many features in SkySafari will satisfy a beginner as well as an advanced astronomer. I highly recommend it. Used on an iPhone, mini or full size iPad it awesome.

This is a fabulous app, one of my absolute favorites. Its so much fun that sometimes its more interesting than the real sky outside, especially for someone like me who lives in a large city with frequent overcast days. I guess in a sense it shows me what Im missing! Even my mom has developed an interest in astronomy with this app—the ability to hold it up against the real sky and identify all that you can see really encourages you to learn more. Ive encountered no bugs or crashes thus far. Fully satisfied (and I was already a happy user of version 3).

Sky Safari 4 Pro is an extremely powerful astronomy app with lots and lots of useful and nice features. Nevertheless, it is quite self-explanatory from the beginning and easy to use, even for non-professional stargazers like me. Even as a novice, I do not regret that I bought the pricey Pro Version of this app, this allows me to discover a lot of things on a very detailed level and to dig deeper and deeper. From my point of view it is quite astonishing what is hidden inside this application. From the perspective of features and frontend design, this application is no doubt a 5-star candidate (at least!) and for sure one of the best - if not the best - iOS Planetarium. Only drawback is the fact that the app crashes quite often, especially in very resource-demanding situations using the - otherwise great - Orbit feature (iPhone 5s). If these hangups will be resolved in a future release, there will be nothing at all left to complain for me!

Some bad moments

Too much bugs in this version. The app quits frequently in various circumstances. The Time bar disappears after a search. Even the menu bars quits sometimes. Too expensive for such an imperfect version. I will continue using the excellent SkySafari 3 pending update 4.0x iPad Mini, iOS 7.04

Was working fine until last update. Now wont even open. 100% useless waste of money.

App does not appear to work anymore on OS X 8.1. Always crashes on the splash screen.

I have used most of the planetarium software shared or sold during the past 20 years. This one has the best graphics and user interface by far. I use it wirelessly to control two telescopes from three different devices. My only complaint is that the interface changes with screen real estate. A minor but understandable issue. The technical support is like instant with the team responding daily on their forum. Great job and great APP.

This is a visual easy to use Astronomy app. I also use it to control my telescope using SkyFi.

I love the app, even though I dont even own a telescope. I have learned a lot about the sky from this app.
